Our Specializations:
Non Operative Spine Care
Medication alone may not be enough to manage your pain. Some medications are more effective when they are combined with other methods of treatment. Our physicians pride themselves on offering you the most up to date pain treatment procedures specific to the type of pain you are experiencing.
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation also known as Physiatry, is the branch of medicine emphasizing the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of disorders, particularly those of the neuromusculoskeletal system.
Pain Management
Our doctors are experts at diagnosing why you are having pain as well as treating the pain itself. Whether you are having acute pain or chronic pain, we will work closely with your primary doctor to establish a treatment plan. We may use multiple medical modalities in the treatment of your pain. The goal is to increase the quality of your life by decreasing your level of pain.
Electrodiagnostic Testing
Electromyography (EMG) consists of inserting fine needle electrodes in muscles and observing the motor response when the muscles are activated. Nerve conduction studies (NCS) use electrodes to record motor and sensory responses that are generated by electrical stimuli. These tests can play a significant role in the diagnosis of various neuromuscular disorders.
Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic is a conservative, non-surgical, drug – free manual (done by hands) therapy that utilizes spinal manipulation/mobilization, soft tissue techniques and postural, core stabilization exercises to treat injured areas of the spine. The goal of therapy is to restore/maintain spine health and motion thereby minimizing pain or discomfort and disability.
Integrative Therapies
Acupuncture and Massage therapies are helpful in many conditions and may be offered as part of your pain management treatment plan. Licensed therapists are here to help contribute to your over all wellness.
Services Videos
Please watch these informative videos that give an overview of the services we provide and explain how the procedure is perfomed and what you can expect at your visit. The videos are brief and informative with helpful animations and diagrams with (or without) narration. We have provided a short textual description of each condition for your reference.
We provide a wide variety of advanced diagnostic testing:
Provocative discography
Provocative discography (PD) is used to confirm a particular disc as a source of a patient's pain.
Electromyogram (EMG)
An electromyogram (EMG) is a test that is used to record the electrical activity of muscles at rest and during contraction. EMGs can be used to detect abnormal electrical activity of muscle that can occur in because of the presence of a variety of conditions, including inflammation of muscles and pinched nerves.
Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS)
Nerve conduction studies measure how well individual nerves can send electrical signals from the spinal cord to the muscles. Nerve conduction studies are used to help diagnose nerve disorders, such as carpal tunnel syndrome.
Diagnostic injections
Diagnostic Injections is a pain management procedure used for diagnostics and therapeutic treatments of pain in the spine and joints.
Bone Densitometry
Bone density scanning, also called dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) or bone densitometry, is an enhanced form of x-ray technology that is used to measure bone loss. DEXA is today's established standard for measuring bone mineral density (BMD).
Radiologic scanning
Radiologic Scanning is a noninvasive medical test that helps diagnose and treat medical conditions. Bone structure of the spinal vertebrae and intervertebral discs can be accurately seen with these procedures.
